(1) SSC: Secondary School Certificate
SSC stands for Secondary School Certificate. It is also known as 10th board exam. It is a public examination conducted by various boards of education including CBSE and other state boards.
The 10th class exam is conducted at the state level by the state boards of education and at the national level by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Class 10 exam is conducted annually. 10th board exam syllabus may differ for students from different education boards..
(2) SSC: Staff Selection Commission
SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission. It is an organisation under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.
The Staff Selection Commission is one of the major bodies of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which has a Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations.
Staff Selection Commission has its headquarters located at New Delhi. At present, it has seven Regional offices at Prayagraj, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore and New Delhi. It also has two Sub- Regional offices at Raipur and Chandigarh.
