Overloaded Modak Recipe
(1) Chocolate Khova Modak
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Milk Powder
- ½ Cup Milk
- ½ Powdered Sugar
- 5 Pieces of Milk Chocolates (Dairy Milk or Any Milk Chocolates)
- 2 Tea Spoon Ghee
Method:
- Fine shred the Chocolates and roll into small balls
- Add Ghee, Milk, Milk Powder in Khadai
- Keep Khadai on Gas, make sure the fame is low
- Keep on mixing till it leaves sides of the pan.
- Make it Cool till the room temperature and make small balls.
- Make small balls & insert it in the mould which is greased by ghee on the sides (you can shape by hand if you don’t have mould.
- Press gently from all sides & stuff with chocolates balls.
- Your Cholcoates Khova Modak is Ready 🙂
(2) Oreo Dry Fruit Modak
Ingredients:
- 10 Oreo biscuits (2 Pack)
- ½ Cup Milk
- Chopped mixed dry fruits
- 2 Tea Spoon Ghee
Method:
- Take some Oreo biscuit, separate them & cream
- Make powder from those biscuits
- Add some milk to the biscuit power & mix them properly
- For stuffing, take the biscuits cream and add chopped mixed dry fruits to it. Give it a nice mix.
- Take a Modak mould, apply some ghee to it and place the mixture on the mould surface & close the mould.
- By using your finger make a hole in this and add dry fruits stuffing
- Your Oreo Dry Fruit Modak is Ready 🙂
(3) Tutti Fruitti Modak
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Suji (Semolina)
- 1 Cup Tutti Fruitti
- ½ Cup Sugar
- 2 Cup Milk
- ½ Tea Spoon Cardamom Powder (Optional)
- 2 Tea Spoon Ghee
Method:
- In a Frying pan, add Ghee and Suji
- Roast it for 2-3 minutes on medium high frame stirring continuously. We just need to cook this. No need to change the color
- Add Milk, Sugar and Cardamom powder on a medium high frame. Keep stirring it and let it come to a boil.
- Once the mixture has soaked the milk, switch off the frame and add tutti fruitti. Mix it well. Keep the lid for 2-3 minutes
- Once the mixture cools, you can start preparing Modak using mould or with hands by adding more tutti fruitti stuffing
- Your Tutti Fruitti Modak is Ready 🙂
Here I tried to give a different taste and flavor with little touch of modification. As we already know Modak’s are served to Lord Ganesha as a favorite dessert.
Usually filling is made with coconut along with mawa. I believe when you make something from heart it reaches to God no matter what.
