What is the full form of NEET

NEET: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) in government or private medical and dental colleges in India.

NEET is of two types:

NEET-UG: It is for the students who wish to study undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS
NEET-PG: It is for the medical graduates who want to study postgraduate medical courses like MD and MS.

NEET Eligibility Criteria ?

Mminimum educational requirement is clearing class 12 board examinations from a recognized institution
A student must qualify from the science stream with majors in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology.
A minimum of 50% must be scored
