Kedarkantha is an archaic and also the most undertaken trek within the state of Uttarakhand. Kedarkantha is a mountain peak of the Himalayas which is located within Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand.
Kedarnath trek starts from a small village called sankri which is located 200 km from Dehradun. Kedarkantha trek offers you the unexcelled beauty, glorious views of enticing villages, superb forest, snow paths, mountains, stunning tons rivers, and also the nice mountain range peaks.
There is a lake known as Juda-ka-Talab, It is the first campsite of the Kedarkantha peak summit, the locals say that once upon a time Lord Shiva meditated at Kedarkantha. Its name implies so from the driblet fallen from Shiva’s hair to create this lake named as Juda-ka-Talab.
Kedarkantha base camp is 11,100 feet above sea level. It is one of the best campsite where you can presurably stay. The trek from Juda-Ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp follows a vessel gradient and dense forests of pine and oak trees.
Kedarkantha Summit looks breathtaking which is 12,500 feet above sea level. Winter temperature is between -15° to -18°, With 360 degrees panoramic view, you will feel this sense of identity together with your surroundings more strongly.
