CBI: Central bureau of Investigation
CBI stands for Central bureau of Investigation.
It is a anti corruption body in the country & involved in major criminal, corruption and investigation cases. CBI works under the Prime Minister of India & operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel. It is headquartered in New Delhi.
The head of the CBI is usually a senior IPS officer. As of Feb 2019, Rishi Kumar Shukla is the chief CBI.

- Investigate all types of crime in India as well as outside India.
- Combating corruption in public life, curb economic and violent crimes through meticulous investigation and prosecution
