CAT: Common Admission Test

CAT stands for Common Admission Test. CAT is considered to be a national level entrance exam for various management programs for IIMs and Non-IIM institutes. Indian Institutes of Management conduct CAT on a rotational basis in online mode.

CAT scores are accepted by IIMs and other top B-Schools. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam with good marks on the basis of cutoff of CAT, are called upon for further rounds as a part of IIM admission process.

CAT Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% (for General Category and for candidates from the NC-OBC caste). For SC/ST and Differently Abled (DA) candidates, the percentage required is 45%.
