ACC: Associated Cement Companies
ACC stands for Associated Cement Companies. ACC is the leading manufacturer of cement and ready-mixed concrete and its head office is situated on the Maharishi Karve Road, Mumbai which is also known as Cement House.
The ACC contains 17 state-of-the-art cement factories, in the region of 60 ready-mixed concrete plants, and an enormous network of distribution and sales offices across the country.
It has been a leading light and prominent benchmark in cement and concrete technology from its establishment time.
The management control of company was taken over by Swiss cement major Holcim in 2004. ACC operated as subsidiary of Lafarge Holcim.
On 1st September 2006, the name of The Associated Cement Companies Limited was changed to ACC Limited. The company is only cement company to get Superbrand status in India.
