ZED: Zero Defect Zero Effect

ZED stands for Zero Defect Zero Effect. The slogan “Zero Defect Zero Effect” was given by Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi to enable the advancement of Indian industry to a position of eminence in the global marketplace and leverage India’s emergence as the world’s supplier through the ‘Made in India’ mark. ZED signifies two things:

Production mechanisms wherein products have no defects
Production process which has zero adverse environmental and ecological effects.

ZED Model is applicable for all sectors of manufacturing industries & it will focus on MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and small businesses.

ZED model aims to achieve high quality manufacturing. The ZED model is necessary to take forward the efforts, while India putting efforts to become global manufacturing hub.

It will address the quality and ecological needs of domestic and overseas customers, society, employees, partners, regulators, and investors.

ZED Rating & Certification

After the assessments and evaluation, the final rating is provided to the MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) which is valid for a period of 4 years. QCI (Quality Council of India) will award the certification to the respective companies as per the site assessment conducted.
